2.ASTM A387 specification – applies to the delivery condition of chrome molybdenum plates for use in pressure applications. ASTM A387 is the technical delivery standard covering the supply of chrome molybdenum pressure vessel alloy steel plates.
3.The introduction of chrome molybdenum increases the materials temperature tensile strength making it an excellent choice for elevated temperature environments. The material also displays excellent corrosion resistant characteristics. ASTM A387 is therefore ideal for the fabrication of weldable steel pressure vessels and industrial boilers found commonly in the petrochemical and oil industry.
